Chance Parker-Knight, to steal a great line from poetry, contains multitudes.

Possessed of an infectious laugh, a rebel’s smile, and eyes of seachange blue, this 5'9" Vegas-born up-and-comer is just the maverick you’ve been missing.

Chance’s appeal transcends sex, gender, and age, at once timeless and wholly original. His uninhibited approach to life and willingness to commit 100% to new ventures have served him well as a small business owner, and are a component of the undeniable, raw magnetism that draws people to him in just about any setting. Brash, bold, and seemingly indefatigable, this is a guy who is going places.

He gets his effortless creativity and unorthodox flair from his mother, a rock-singing free spirit whose constant touring and traveling for gigs contributed to somewhat of a gypsy lifestyle. Some of Chance’s earliest memories are of curling up on the cracked leather of a smoky bar’s banquette while his mother sang on a Saturday night, her husky voice lulling him to sleep. Today, he’s a firebrand in faded skinny jeans who sings country songs from a bygone generation as he’s driving, a salty-tongued old soul with an overwhelmingly sexy, offbeat energy.

Before you can ask: yes, he has plenty of tattoos. Each was self-designed and represents something rooted deep in his heart: lyrics from his favorite Broadway show, a pair of Celtic knots behind his elbows, and a scrawled signature permanently inscribed in a place of honor on his forearm – the autograph of his idol, Shania Twain. (Ask him sometime to tell you the long, hilarious story of how he risked third-row show tickets and the wrath of the Caesar’s Palace security detail to get her to sign his arm!)

Perhaps the most meaningful is an epigram by Mary Ann Radmacher, which is inked large and elegant in a graceful cursive script over his lower back: “Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.” Dauntless, persistent, and uncowed by the mutability of daily life, this is truly a statement of Chance’s philosophy.

You can find him at his Largo, Florida salon 2 Dye 4, inspiring his clients to find their own brand of beautiful, or at home with his husband at their St. Pete condo, chainsmoking and talking to his cats.
